Mr Russell Hodgson has trained extensively gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and bile duct surgery (known as HPB surgery). He has developed several techniques for treating difficult gallbladder disease and is adept at keyhole surgery (laparoscopic surgery) for gallstones, including retrieving gallstones from the bile ducts. He also has a particular interest in bile duct surgery, which he considers to be the pinnacle of HPB surgery.
